We drove from Kalmar
through the Kingdom of glass
to Parps Gard
the sight of Peter's cousin's party.
The lake photo is
the view from
our room. The resort offers a
lovely walking path around the lake and
also some more unusual activities. Peter and
his cousins participated in
axe throwing,
hammering and
archery while I
took a
few ladies shopping.
We,
unfortunately,
spent much more time in
the car rather than in
shops. It seems most of Sweden's shops close at 1
or 2
on Saturdays!
We returned
home in
time for a late lunch
on the resort's sunny porch. The photo of the table setting is from last
nights party
which was for
family and
out of town guests. I
love the way the lupines look on the table...
their jewel tones are perfect in a casual or dressy setting. Speaking of dressy...I must
sign off now and dress for
tonights party!
